Monet's Chick

Inspiration: While I was running around Claude Monet’s garden last month painting and taking photos of the flowers, my husband noticed several chickens in a little side yard behind a fence and was inspired to take some shots. Seems Monet kept a few chickens on his weekend getaway property in Giverney AND the current fowl are great-great-great (whatever) grandpeeps of those very birds. Thought that was a pretty cool story. This is one of a couple paintings of them I did for the project..
